The presentation will examine the harmful impact of trauma to the brain’s development and subsequent mental health functioning. It will outline how the brain functions normally and what trauma can do to derail brain development. The most recent research on the rewiring of the brain and the phenomena of brain neuroplasticity will be detailed with practical examples.
