This webinar will provide a brief analysis of widespread stigma and misunderstanding of addiction and mental health that are persistent often unintentional barriers to treatment.
Objectives:
- Explain barriers that arise because of stigma and inaccurate representations of addiction and mental illness.
- Recognize how the science of addiction can help reduce stigma.
- Identify strategies of self-compassion that help alleviate the self-criticism arising from judgement and stigma and allow for healing to begin.
