Mental health professionals and caregivers often put everyone else’s needs first—emotionally, physically, and financially. This session highlights the personal financial stressors that contribute to burnout in helping professions and offers practical strategies for setting financial boundaries, protecting energy, and pursuing long-term stability. This isn’t just budgeting—it’s financial self-care for those who give the most.

Interactive elements will include an anonymous audience polling via Mentimeter to explore common financial triggers and therapeutic approaches.

Objectives:

  1. Identify the role of personal financial stress in caregiver burnout
  2. Examine the psychological and cultural barriers to setting financial boundaries in helping professions
  3. Create an action plan to reduce financial overextension and build personal sustainability
  4. Promote financial wellness as a dimension of professional ethics and self-preservation
